Please follow the steps below. WordPress Theme should be set up in a few minutes.
Please make sure your root directory of domain.
CORRECT: www.website.com -OR- www.your.website.com
INCORRECT: www.website.com/your/
Installing Theme
  1. Unzipped the template file you’ve get.
  2. Upload the theme folder portfolius4 to your /wp-content/themes/ directory.
  3. Log in to your WordPress admin panel and go to Appearance.
  4. Click on the screenshot theme to activate it.
  5. Download plugins, which recommend for Portfolius v.4
  6. Upload these plugins to your /wp-content/plugins/ folder and activated through the WordPress admin panel.
  7. Click on Appearance > Theme Options to setup the rest of the theme – you have to go through this setup, or else the theme might not work.
Create Categories and Major Pages

Creating Categories and Major Pages is the first and important step after install. If you have this pages, please, follow to next step Theme Options > Navigation Options.

  1. Create Categories

    You need to have two (or more) categories for correct theme work. One of them is Blog category. You may create sub-categories for Blog category. Other categories and sub-categories will be Portfolio. More about Categories

  2. Create Major Pages

    By default you need to have major pages: About, Services, Contact, Archive. You can call this pages as you like. The most important thing is that they exist. Also you can create subpages for Services Page. More about Pages

Hierarchy

The final hierarchy is recommended to have the following:

    1. ← all other pages Sub-Page #1
    2. Sub-Page #2
      1. ← all other sub-pages Sub-Sub-Page #1

Adding Posts to Portfolio

Posts are entries that display in reverse chronological order on your portfolio’s front page and on portfolio page. More about Posts. Please, follow the steps below.

  1. Make screenshot 390*190 px JPEG, GIF or PNG
  2. Write the post as you like
  3. Fill the excerpt field
  4. Choose the category e.g. Portfolio > Websites
  5. Upload screenshot
  6. Use custom field thumb-390x190 for screenshot
  7. Press 'Publish' button

Drag 'Text Widget' to a sidebar on the right and paste necessary HTML code.
Use widgets
  1. Right Sidebar Widget (for business.php template)
    This widget will be displayed on the main page if you select a 'business.php' template.

  2. Left Sidebar Widget (for business.php template)
    This widget will be displayed on the main page if you select a 'business.php' template.

  3. Right Sidebar Widget
    This widget will appear on all pages except the front page if you use a 'business.php' template.

  4. Left Sidebar Widget
    This widget will appear on all pages except the front page if you use a 'business.php' template.
